Both. Well water and municipal city water have very different issues — hard minerals, iron, bacteria, sulphur, sediment — and we test for all of them. Our Whole-Home Premium plan is designed specifically for well-water homes.
A softener removes hardness minerals (calcium and magnesium) but not chlorine. For chlorine removal, you need a reverse osmosis system or a whole-home carbon filter. That's why we recommend our Softener + RO Bundle for city water homes.
Most installations are completed in 2–3 hours. A whole-home system with multiple components may take a half-day. We schedule at a time that works for you and clean up completely before we leave.
Water softeners need salt refills every 4–8 weeks (you can do this yourself) and an annual service check. RO systems need filter cartridge replacements once a year. All maintenance is simple, and we include an annual visit in most plans.
